I now live in the mountains of WNC and was constantly annoyed by turbo lag or acceleration hesitation when driving mountain roads. I thought of and researched lots of things to remedy the situation as it was a small but bothersome annoyance. I have a 2015 F150 Platinum with 3.5L Twin turbo EcoBoost. I’ve owned many trucks over the years and this is the best by far. Never a performance issue until driving curvy mountain roads and having to be a bit more delicate on the accelerator, hence the lag. Took a chance after reading other’s reviews. One review in particular talked about the best setting for my style of driving, they were spot on, thank you! The pedal commander was a 5min install. I set it to what the other reviewer had suggested based on their experience and testing, and I experienced instant gratification. The lag is gone!. The response when you do want to get on it, puts a smile on your face. I like the idea of dialing in the accelerator to your style of driving. I set mine to city +2, perfect for me. If you are experiencing this so called lag when lightly pushing on the accelerator, this is the right product for you. If you like your truck to be the muscle car you always wanted, this product can satisfy that rush of acceleration too. I thought the cost was a bit much but now I can see it’s value for me over the long run. I intend to keep my truck for years to come. I fully recommend this product. Let me tell you what tap that skinny pedal on sport + with the gain turned up and the tires just break lose. Much, much better throttle response.Im happy with itThis is by Far the best upgrade to my King Ranch truck I’ve made so far. I couldn’t believe how much restriction Ford puts on the throttle response in the 2014 F-150. After install of the Pedal Commander I set it to Sport X4 setting and this Twin turbine 3.7L V6 totally out performed my 2000 F-150 with the Triton 5.4L V-8. If I would have put it on Sport+ X4 it would have burnt rubber for as long as it was floored. It’s twice as quick on City-4 setting as it is at factory stock setting. It looked like the unit could have easily been used prior to shipping.Yes the product worked. But I wasn’t immediately as impressed with it as everybody else. No engine codes. City works great. Sport plus is almost unusable it’s so touchy.I installed it in my 2016 Polaris Slingshot...as soon as I started it , it redlined and stayed wide open till I shut it down. Glad it happened in the driveway in park and not on the road while driving. BEWARE!As long as you're not flooring it, but feathering the pedal, you get great response from the engine, can't drive without it!! I always have it on sports+ 4+ and it lets me zoom through traffic
